THE IKE GROUP

The Ike Group has eight members from various professions, all with a compelling interest in the Eisenhower Dollar Coin. In a nut shell, our eight members include two retired physicians, two metallurgical engineers, a teacher, an ultrasound scientist, a certified genius, three strong entrepreneurs and a snake and ‘gaiter hunter.

Our mission is to stir interest in this largely ignored series through research and writing.

We have five peer-accepted publications to date (each has won either a content or literary award) and three more in the hopper, all leading to a book on Ikes that will revolutionize and energize the series. Rob Ezerman gave aSundman-Littleton lectures at the August ’08 Baltimore ANA Convention on “Propaganda and the Ike” and the Ike Group presented a well-received three hour workshop (“The New Ikes”) at that same convention.  Plus our published works, “Collectible Ike Varieties – Facts, Photos and Theories” (The Big Book) & “The Little Book of Collectible Eisenhower Dollars”.

Current projects include building our Web Site, promoting our new Ike Variety Catalog system (“DIVA’s”, which stands for “Designated Ike Varieties”), starting an Ike Club, and formally attributing holdered Ikes to capture all their DIVA features. Future projects include a revolutionary approach to cataloging and attributing Ike doubled dies; and, a fresh and very thorough research project into MDD (“Strike Doubling”, etc, etc).
